Moisture Vapor Barriers
The +$1.58/sf add-on that protects everything above it.
A purpose-built system, not a coat of paint.
A moisture vapor barrier (MVB) is a high-build epoxy primer engineered to block hydrostatic vapor pressure rising through a concrete slab. Without it, vapor delaminates the coating from below — sometimes weeks after install, sometimes years. We diagnose, then specify.

5 steps. In order. Without exception.
Moisture Test
ASTM F2170 (in-situ relative humidity probe) or ASTM F1869 (calcium chloride dome) performed during assessment. Readings drive the spec.
Diagnosis
If readings exceed manufacturer's threshold for the proposed top system, MVB is added to the bid. If readings are clean, it isn't.
Surface Prep to CSP-3
Same diamond grind or shot blast prep required for any of our systems.
MVB Application
Two-component 100%-solids epoxy applied at specified mil thickness — covers the entire substrate.
Cure
Resin cures for the manufacturer-specified window before the primary system is installed on top.
Where this system earns its place.
Slabs-on-grade without intact under-slab vapor retarders · older industrial floors · post-tension slabs · any substrate with marginal moisture readings · coastal Texas (chronic high humidity)
