Eight questions facility managers and spec writers actually ask.
What system should I specify for a heavy-traffic warehouse?
For warehouses with forklift traffic, we typically specify a polyaspartic flake or quartz system over an epoxy primer with full broadcast for impact resistance and slip rating. The grout coat seals the texture and the T2000 top coat provides chemical and abrasion durability.
Do you provide bid documents and CSI specifications?
Yes. We can provide system specifications in CSI MasterFormat language for your design team or directly to the spec writer. We'll also supply data sheets, manufacturer warranty terms, and a certificate of installation on completion.
Can you work around our operations or do you require a full shutdown?
Most projects can be phased. Polyaspartic resin returns to foot traffic in 2-4 hours and full service in 24, allowing us to coordinate around production schedules, shift changes, and weekend windows.
What is a moisture vapor barrier and when do I need one?
A moisture vapor barrier (MVB) is an epoxy primer that blocks hydrostatic vapor pressure from rising through the slab and delaminating the coating. We test moisture with calcium chloride or RH probes during assessment. If readings exceed manufacturer thresholds, MVB is required to honor warranty. Read more about MVB →
How does polyaspartic compare to epoxy for industrial use?
Polyaspartic cures faster, is UV-stable (no yellowing), and has superior abrasion and chemical resistance compared to standard epoxy. Epoxy still has a role as a primer or moisture vapor barrier under polyaspartic top coats, which is how we typically build a hybrid commercial system.
What kind of warranty is offered?
Manufacturer system warranty is provided with each commercial install when the prep, primer, and top coat are all installed by an XPS-certified team to spec. Workmanship warranty terms are detailed on the bid document and certificate of installation.
Are your installers actually certified?
Yes. The owner and lead applicators hold the 2025 XPS (Xtreme Polishing Systems) Certified Installer credential — a hands-on classroom and live-installation certification widely recognized as the most rigorous in the U.S. industrial coatings industry. More on the credential →
What does commercial pricing typically run?
System cost ranges from $7-$26 per square foot depending on system selected and substrate condition. Moisture vapor barriers add approximately $1.58/sf when required. Surface prep, mobilization, and edge detailing are line-itemed in the bid for full transparency.
Send the spec. We'll send a real number.
